The Fairy Wrasse is known for its bright and almost gaudy colors. They are small and sociable fish that live on reefs in the shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific. They sleep at night surrounded by a mucus cocoon that they secrete and put around their body to mask their scent from predators. Their diet is mainly zooplankton and they spend most of the day feeding.
