Ophiure protoreaster
Another scavenger, the brittle starfish helps keep an aquarium clean by eating excess food, droppings and decaying matter. It has long, slender, brittle legs, that, if removed, can regenerate. Its legs also have spines that assist in finding food. Starfish are star-shaped echinoderms belonging to the class Asteroidea.
The brittle star is found mostly in Indonesia and Tonga.
