Our Firefish is a native of Africa, the Coral Sea, Indonesia and Maldives. It’s brilliant colors and strange body shape make it an interesting fish to watch and are the reason they are called Firefish. The Firefish or Firefish Goby is a docile fish that likes to pick out a hiding place and quickly retreat to it when threatened in any way.

The Firefish is an omnivore. It eats algae and zooplankton, but also likes small crustaceans, brine fish, shrimp and more.
